Answers to Common Chiropractic Questions
If you’re considering chiropractic care, it’s normal to have questions. Our chiropractic FAQ provides straightforward answers about chiropractic safety, adjustments, treatment options, what to expect during care, and how we approach each patient’s individual needs.
At Quality Care Chiropractic in Perry, Utah, our goal is to listen, educate, and care. Explore the questions below to learn more about chiropractic care and decide whether it may be right for you.
What Makes Quality Care Chiropractic Different from Other Chiropractic Offices?
At Quality Care Chiropractic, we believe chiropractic care should be as unique as the person receiving it, and exceptional chiropractic care begins with understanding the person—not just the symptoms.
While many people expect chiropractic care to focus only on where they feel pain, that’s not how we approach your health. We take the time to evaluate how your body is functioning as a whole, looking for the mechanical and neurological factors that may be contributing to your problem. Sometimes the area causing your symptoms isn’t the area that needs the most attention.
Because every patient is unique, we don’t rely on a single chiropractic technique or perform the same treatment on every patient. Instead, we draw from a variety of chiropractic methods and select the approach that best fits your age, health history, comfort level, examination findings, and individual needs.
Your care doesn’t stop with the initial evaluation. At each visit, we assess how you’re responding to treatment and adjust your care plan as needed. As your body changes and heals, your treatment can change too. Our goal is to provide the right care at the right time—not simply repeat the same procedure at every appointment.
Just as importantly, we believe patients deserve to understand their health. We take time to answer your questions, explain our findings, and help you understand why we recommend certain treatments. Our goal is to educate and empower you so you can make informed decisions about your health with confidence.
Whether your care involves the spine, jaw, shoulders, wrists, hips, knees, ankles, or feet, our focus is always the same: providing thoughtful, personalized care that helps you move better, feel better, and function at your best.
If you’re looking for a chiropractor who takes the time to listen, carefully evaluate your condition, explain your options, and provide care that’s tailored to your individual needs and continually adapted based on your progress, we’d be honored to help. Contact Quality Care Chiropractic today and discover the difference personalized chiropractic care can make.
Is Chiropractic Safe?
Yes. Chiropractic care is generally considered safe when it is provided by a properly trained and licensed chiropractor and is appropriate for the individual patient. Like any healthcare intervention, however, chiropractic care is not completely without risk. That is one reason we believe safe care begins before an adjustment is ever performed.
At Quality Care Chiropractic, we start by listening to your concerns and reviewing your health history. We then perform an examination to determine what may be contributing to your symptoms and whether chiropractic care is appropriate for you. Your age, health history, medications, bone health, previous injuries or surgeries, current symptoms, and examination findings can all influence how we approach your care.
Not every patient needs the same adjustment. Depending on what we find, we may use traditional chiropractic adjustments, modified or lower-force techniques, soft-tissue treatment, or other approaches. We may also decide that a particular area should not be adjusted. If your history or examination suggests that another type of evaluation or medical care is needed, we will explain our concerns and recommend an appropriate referral.
Some patients experience temporary soreness, stiffness, or mild discomfort after a chiropractic adjustment, particularly when an area is already irritated or when beginning care. These effects are generally mild and short-lived. Serious adverse events are uncommon, but they can occur, which is why appropriate examination, technique selection, and clinical judgment are important.
We also understand that some people are particularly concerned about neck adjustments and chiropractic safety. Chiropractic care does not require forceful neck manipulation in order to obtain a result, and we do not automatically adjust every area of the spine at every visit. The areas we treat, the techniques we use, and the amount of force we apply are based on the individual patient and what we find during that visit. For some patients, that may include a traditional manual adjustment; for others, a modified or lower-force approach may be more appropriate. An adjustment also does not have to produce a loud “pop” to be effective.
At Quality Care Chiropractic, we think the most useful safety question is not simply, “Is chiropractic safe?” It is: “Is this treatment appropriate for this patient, in this area, at this time?” That is the question individualized chiropractic care should answer.
If you are considering chiropractic care in Perry, Utah, but have questions about safety, a previous injury, an existing health condition, or a particular type of adjustment, we welcome those questions. Schedule an examination at Quality Care Chiropractic, and we can determine whether chiropractic care is an appropriate option for you. We Listen • Evaluate • Explain • Care
Is Chiropractic Care Right for Me?
The best way to know whether chiropractic care is right for you is to start with a conversation and a thorough examination. At Quality Care Chiropractic, we don’t assume that every ache, pain, or health concern needs an adjustment—or that every patient should receive the same type of care.
We start by listening. We want to understand what is bothering you, how it is affecting your life, what you have already tried, and what you hope to accomplish. Whether you are dealing with back or neck pain, headaches, sciatica, stiffness, an old injury, an auto accident, or discomfort involving a shoulder, hip, knee, ankle, wrist, or jaw, your symptoms are only part of the picture.
Next, we evaluate and educate. Your examination helps us look for mechanical, muscular, and neurological findings that may be contributing to the problem. We explain what we find, what we think it means, and whether chiropractic care is a reasonable option for you. If your findings suggest that you need additional testing or evaluation by another healthcare professional, we will discuss that with you as well.
Then, if chiropractic care is appropriate, we care for you as an individual. Treatment is based on your examination findings, health history, comfort level, goals, and response to care—not a predetermined routine. That may include traditional chiropractic adjustments, gentle or non-force techniques, treatment of the spine or extremities, soft-tissue techniques, exercises, or other appropriate therapies. We reassess along the way and modify your care as your needs change.
Chiropractic care can be an appropriate option for many musculoskeletal problems, but it is not the answer to every condition. Our job is not simply to find something to adjust. Our job is to listen, evaluate what is happening, help you understand your options, and provide appropriate care when we can help.
If you have been wondering whether chiropractic care might be right for you, schedule an examination at Quality Care Chiropractic in Perry, Utah. We’ll start by listening, evaluate your individual needs, and help you determine the appropriate next step.
Why did my chiropractor only adjust a few joints? Shouldn’t more adjustments work better?
Not necessarily. The effectiveness of a chiropractic adjustment isn’t determined by how many joints are adjusted—it’s determined by whether the right joints are treated at the right time.
At Quality Care Chiropractic, we evaluate your movement, spinal function, and other clinical findings at every visit. Based on those findings, we determine which areas are most likely contributing to your symptoms or limiting your body’s ability to function and recover. Some visits may require only one or two adjustments, while others may involve several areas. We don’t adjust joints simply because they can be adjusted or because they’re part of a predetermined routine. Our goal is to provide the care your body needs that day—and no more.
Many patients are surprised by how much improvement can occur after just a few carefully selected adjustments. As your body changes, your care changes too. We continually reassess your progress and adapt your treatment based on your response rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.
If you’re looking for chiropractic care that’s tailored to your individual needs rather than a predetermined routine, we’d be happy to help. Schedule an exam at Quality Care Chiropractic to find out what’s contributing to your symptoms and whether chiropractic care may be the right choice for you.
Is there more than one way to deliver a chiropractic adjustment?
Yes. There are many different ways to deliver a chiropractic adjustment, and no single technique is the right choice for every patient or every visit.
At Quality Care Chiropractic, we select the adjustment based on your examination findings, your comfort level, your age, your mobility, and your individual needs. Depending on your situation, that may include traditional manual adjustments, gentle low-force techniques, instrument-assisted adjustments, or a combination of methods. The goal is always the same—to improve joint function and movement using the most appropriate technique for you.
If you’re concerned about twisting, popping, or cracking, please let us know. Many patients are surprised to learn that chiropractic care can often be provided using gentle techniques that involve little or no twisting at all. Before beginning any treatment, we’ll explain our recommendations and answer your questions so you feel comfortable with your care.
If you’ve been putting off chiropractic care because you were unsure what an adjustment would be like, we’d love the opportunity to help. Schedule an examination at Quality Care Chiropractic, and we’ll determine the approach that’s right for you and your specific needs.
Do I need to get my neck adjusted every visit?
No. At Quality Care Chiropractic, every visit is individualized based on your current symptoms, examination findings, how you’re responding to care, and your health goals. There isn’t a routine that says your neck—or any other part of your spine—must be adjusted at every visit.
Some visits may include a neck adjustment, while others may focus on different areas of your spine or other aspects of your treatment plan. If your neck doesn’t need treatment that day, we won’t adjust it merely because it would have been part of a predetermined treatment routine. Every treatment recommendation is based on your current examination findings and how you’re responding to care.
If you’re nervous about neck adjustments, you’re not alone. Many patients share that concern before beginning care. That’s why we offer a variety of gentle, low-force chiropractic techniques that can often achieve the desired treatment goals without the traditional twisting or popping that many people associate with chiropractic care. Before any treatment, we’ll explain our recommendations, answer your questions, and make sure you’re comfortable with the plan.
If you’ve been avoiding chiropractic care because you’re worried about neck adjustments, we’d love the opportunity to help. Schedule an exam at Quality Care Chiropractic, and we’ll evaluate your condition, discuss your treatment options, and create a personalized care plan that fits your needs and comfort level.
Are there chiropractic techniques that treat the feet, ankles, knees, hips, jaw (TMJ), wrists, elbows, and shoulders?
Yes. Although many people associate chiropractic care with the spine, chiropractors are also trained to evaluate and, when appropriate, treat many of the joints throughout the body. Depending on your condition, chiropractic care may include adjusting the feet, ankles, knees, hips, jaw (TMJ), shoulders, elbows, or wrists to help restore normal joint motion and improve overall function.
At Quality Care Chiropractic, every treatment begins with a thorough examination. If a joint outside the spine is contributing to your symptoms or limiting how you move, we may recommend including it as part of your care plan. We offer a variety of adjusting techniques—from traditional manual adjustments to gentle, low-force methods—so your care can be tailored to your condition, comfort level, and individual needs.
Whether you’re recovering from an injury, experiencing joint pain or stiffness, or simply looking to move more comfortably, we’re here to help. Schedule an examination today to find out whether personalized chiropractic care may be the right solution for you.
Why do I sometimes feel achy after a chiropractic adjustment?
It’s not unusual to experience mild soreness after a chiropractic adjustment, especially during your first few visits or after an area that has been stiff or irritated begins moving more normally. If it happens, most patients describe it as feeling similar to the soreness you might notice after trying a new exercise or increasing your activity level.
An adjustment changes how a joint moves, and the surrounding muscles and soft tissues sometimes need a little time to adapt. When soreness occurs, it’s typically mild and usually improves within 24 to 48 hours. Many patients find they move more comfortably and notice less pain once that temporary soreness has passed.
To help minimize discomfort, we may recommend staying hydrated, taking a short walk, performing any stretches or exercises we’ve prescribed, or applying ice if appropriate. We’ll also tailor your treatment to your individual needs and comfort level, using the technique that is most appropriate for you.
While mild, temporary soreness can be a normal response, significant pain or symptoms that continue to worsen are not expected. If you ever have concerns after a visit, please contact our office so we can answer your questions and make sure you’re recovering as expected.
If you’ve been putting off chiropractic care because you’re worried about what to expect afterward, we’re here to help. Schedule an exam at Quality Care Chiropractic, and we’ll perform a thorough evaluation, explain our findings, answer your questions, and develop a personalized care plan that’s right for you.
When I received my chiropractic adjustment, the joint didn’t “pop.” Does that mean it didn’t “work?”
No. A chiropractic adjustment does not have to produce a popping sound to be effective.
The sound you sometimes hear during an adjustment is simply a normal change that can occur within a joint as it moves. Some joints produce that sound, while others do not. Whether you hear a pop isn’t a reliable way to judge whether the adjustment was successful.
At Quality Care Chiropractic, we evaluate the effectiveness of your care by looking at what matters most—how your joints are moving, how your body is functioning, how your symptoms are changing, and what we find during your examination. Depending on your needs and the technique being used, some adjustments are intentionally very gentle and may not produce any audible sound at all.
Our goal is always to provide the right adjustment, using the right technique, at the right time—not simply to create a popping sound. If you’re looking for personalized chiropractic care focused on improving your function and helping you reach your health goals, we’d be happy to help. Schedule an examination today to learn how individualized chiropractic care may benefit you.
Is receiving chiropractic care safe during pregnancy?
Yes. Chiropractic care is generally considered safe during pregnancy when provided by a chiropractor who is experienced in caring for pregnant patients. As pregnancy progresses, the body’s center of gravity changes, hormones cause ligaments to become more flexible, and additional stress is placed on the spine, pelvis, and surrounding muscles. These normal changes can contribute to back pain, pelvic discomfort, hip pain, and other musculoskeletal aches.
At Quality Care Chiropractic, every expectant mother receives a thorough chiropractic examination so we can determine whether chiropractic care is appropriate and develop a care plan based on her examination findings, symptoms, stage of pregnancy, and individual health goals. We use gentle techniques and modify positioning to maximize both comfort and safety. Our goal is to help improve spinal and joint function, reduce musculoskeletal discomfort, and support comfortable movement throughout pregnancy.
If you’re pregnant and wondering whether chiropractic care could help you stay more comfortable, we’d be happy to answer your questions and discuss whether it’s an appropriate option for you. Contact Quality Care Chiropractic today to schedule your consultation.
Is chiropractic safe for children?
Yes. Chiropractic care can be a safe and effective option for many children when provided by a chiropractor experienced in evaluating and caring for pediatric patients. At Quality Care Chiropractic, we have cared for children as young as two weeks old using gentle, age-appropriate techniques tailored to each child’s size, development, and individual needs.
Pediatric chiropractic adjustments are very different from those performed on adults. The amount of pressure used is typically very light, and the techniques are adapted to the child’s age, comfort level, and examination findings. Some parents seek chiropractic care for concerns such as musculoskeletal discomfort, posture, sports injuries, or movement-related issues, while others simply want to help support healthy function as their children grow. Every child receives an individualized evaluation to determine whether chiropractic care is appropriate.
If you’re considering chiropractic care for your child, we’d be happy to answer your questions and perform a thorough examination. If chiropractic care is appropriate, we’ll explain our findings and recommendations so you can make an informed decision about your child’s care.
Does chiropractic provide relief from headaches?
Many people are surprised to learn that headaches don’t always start in the head. In fact, headaches can have many contributing factors, including restricted motion in the lower neck, muscle tension and trigger points, stress, poor posture, dehydration, and, in some cases, headaches that originate from the neck itself (called cervicogenic headaches).
At Quality Care Chiropractic, our goal isn’t simply to make the pain disappear—it’s to determine why you’re having headaches in the first place.
Your examination helps us identify the factors that may be contributing to your symptoms. Depending on what we find, your care may include gentle chiropractic adjustments, muscle and soft tissue therapies, recommendations for improving posture and daily habits, stress-reduction strategies, hydration guidance, and simple exercises designed to help your body function more normally.
Because every headache is different, every treatment plan is different. Many of our patients experience fewer headaches, less intense headaches, or both as their body begins functioning better. If your symptoms suggest a condition that requires medical evaluation, we’ll recommend the appropriate next step.
If headaches are interfering with your work, family, or quality of life, we’d be honored to help you discover what’s causing them and whether chiropractic care may be an appropriate part of the solution. Schedule an examination today and let’s begin finding the cause—not just covering up the symptoms.
How does chiropractic improve health?
Health isn’t simply the absence of pain—it’s your ability to move well, adapt to life’s physical demands, and enjoy the activities that matter most to you. At Quality Care Chiropractic, we believe better function often leads to a better quality of life.
Your brain and nervous system constantly receive information from your joints, muscles, and other tissues to coordinate movement, balance, posture, and countless everyday activities. When joints aren’t moving as well as they should—whether from an injury, repetitive stress, or the demands of daily life—the quality of that information can change. Over time, this may contribute to pain, stiffness, reduced mobility, and difficulty doing the things you enjoy.
That’s where chiropractic care can help.
Rather than focusing only on where it hurts, we begin by listening to your concerns and learning about your health history, lifestyle, and goals. We then perform a thorough examination to understand how your body is functioning and identify the factors that may be contributing to your symptoms. Once we’ve completed the evaluation, we explain our findings, answer your questions, and discuss the care options that best fit your needs.
Your care is individualized. It may include traditional chiropractic adjustments, modified low-force techniques, extremity adjusting, movement recommendations, or other supportive therapies based on what is most appropriate for you. Throughout your care, we continually reassess your progress and adjust our recommendations as your body changes.
While chiropractic isn’t a cure for every condition, improving joint function and movement can often help reduce pain, improve mobility, and make everyday activities easier. Just as importantly, understanding why you’re experiencing a problem empowers you to take an active role in improving your health.
If you’re looking for a practice that takes the time to listen, evaluate thoroughly, explain clearly, and provide personalized care, we’d be honored to help. Schedule your examination today and discover why, at Quality Care Chiropractic, Quality of Life Means Everything.
Does chiropractic care do more than relieve pain?
For many people, pain is what brings them into our office—but helping you feel better is only part of the goal.
At Quality Care Chiropractic, we focus on improving how your body functions. Healthy joints move properly, muscles work more efficiently, and the nervous system can better coordinate movement throughout the body. When those systems are working together, everyday activities often become easier and more comfortable.
That’s why our examinations don’t stop with identifying where something hurts. We look at how your joints move, how your muscles function, your posture and balance, your movement patterns, and other factors that may be contributing to your symptoms. We also take time to discuss lifestyle factors such as stress, sleep, physical activity, nutrition, and hydration because each of these can influence how your body feels and performs.
While chiropractic care is not a treatment for every health condition, improving movement and reducing pain often makes it easier for people to exercise, sleep more comfortably, stay active, and participate in the activities they enjoy. Those improvements can have a meaningful impact on overall quality of life.
Our goal isn’t simply to help you hurt less today—it’s to help you move better, function better, and stay healthier over time.
If you’re ready to find out what’s limiting your movement or contributing to your pain, schedule an evaluation with Quality Care Chiropractic. We’ll listen to your concerns, perform a thorough examination, explain our findings, and help you determine the treatment options that are right for you.
Will chiropractic completely resolve my condition?
Every person is different, which means no ethical healthcare provider can promise that any treatment—including chiropractic care—will completely resolve every condition. Your recovery depends on many factors, including the nature of your condition, how long it has been present, your overall health, previous injuries, lifestyle habits, and how your body responds to care.
What we can promise is that we will take the time to understand your concerns.
At Quality Care Chiropractic, our approach begins by listening to your story, performing a thorough examination, and explaining what we find in language you can understand. From there, we’ll discuss whether chiropractic care is an appropriate option, what we hope to accomplish, and what you can realistically expect along the way.
Some patients experience rapid improvement. Others improve more gradually. Some achieve complete resolution of their symptoms, while others find chiropractic care helps them better manage an ongoing condition, move more comfortably, and maintain a higher quality of life. Our goal is never to overpromise—it’s to help you make informed decisions about your health based on your individual situation.
If we believe chiropractic care is unlikely to help, we’ll tell you honestly. If another healthcare professional or additional testing would better serve your needs, we’ll recommend that instead. Your health always comes before recommending treatment.
The first step is simply finding out what’s going on. Schedule an evaluation, and we’ll listen, evaluate, explain our findings, answer your questions, and help you decide on the path that’s right for you.
Besides chiropractic adjusting, does Quality Care Chiropractic offer other services?
At Quality Care Chiropractic, we believe the best care is personalized. Chiropractic adjustments are the foundation of what we do, but they’re only one of the tools we use to help you move better, feel better, and function at your best.
Depending on your examination findings and treatment goals, your care may also include trigger point therapy, myofascial release, hydromassage, or ceramic far-infrared (FIR) therapy.
Soft tissue techniques such as trigger point therapy and myofascial release are used to address tight muscles, restricted fascia, and areas of tenderness that may be contributing to pain or limiting movement.
Hydromassage is another option many patients enjoy. If you’ve never experienced one before, it isn’t like a whirlpool or hot tub. You remain fully clothed while lying comfortably on a warm, cushioned surface as enclosed water jets move beneath you to provide a relaxing massage. Since the water never comes into direct contact with you, there’s no need to change clothes or bring a swimsuit. Many patients find it to be a comfortable way to ease muscle tension and unwind before or after their chiropractic treatment.
Our ceramic far-infrared (FIR) therapy offers another non-invasive option that may complement your care. Unlike traditional heating pads that rely on an electrical heating element, ceramic FIR therapy uses a specialized ceramic material that emits far-infrared wavelengths while remaining at room temperature. Some patients notice a gentle warming sensation in the treated area, which may be related to increased local circulation. Many patients find the therapy relaxing and comfortable, and it may help support recovery as part of an individualized treatment plan.
Just as importantly, not every patient receives every therapy. We don’t believe in routine treatment packages or one-size-fits-all care. We begin by listening to your concerns, performing a thorough examination, explaining what we find, and recommending only the treatments we believe are appropriate for your condition, your goals, and your lifestyle.
Whether your care involves chiropractic adjustments alone or a combination of therapies, our goal is always the same: to help you move better, feel better, and understand the “why” behind every recommendation. If you’re ready for a personalized approach to your health, we’d be honored to help you get started.
Are hydromassage treatments safe?
Yes. For most people, hydromassage is a safe, comfortable way to relax tight muscles and reduce everyday stress. Before recommending any therapy, however, we’ll always determine whether it’s appropriate for your individual health history and current condition.
One of the biggest misconceptions about hydromassage is that you’ll get wet or need to change clothes. That’s not the case. Our hydromassage system is similar to lying on a comfortably heated waterbed while warm, water-powered jets move beneath a protective surface. The water never touches your body, so you remain fully clothed, completely dry, and comfortable throughout the entire session.
Many patients enjoy hydromassage either before or after their chiropractic adjustment. It can help relax tight muscles, decrease muscle soreness, and provide a calming experience that complements chiropractic care. While hydromassage doesn’t correct joint dysfunction or replace chiropractic treatment, it can make you feel more comfortable and help you get even more out of your visit.
At Quality Care Chiropractic, every recommendation has a purpose. If hydromassage is appropriate for your condition and goals, we’ll explain why we recommend it, how it fits into your personalized treatment plan, and what you can realistically expect from it.
If you’ve never experienced a hydromassage before, we’d be happy to answer your questions and show you exactly what it’s like. It may become one of your favorite parts of your visit.
Are ceramic far infrared treatments safe?
Yes. Ceramic far infrared (FIR) therapy is generally considered safe for most people when used appropriately, and many patients find it to be one of the most relaxing parts of their visit.
Far infrared energy is a form of light that you naturally experience every day from the sun—without the harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays that cause sunburn. Ceramic FIR therapy delivers gentle far-infrared energy to the body without becoming excessively hot, creating a comfortable, soothing experience.
At Quality Care Chiropractic, we use ceramic FIR therapy as a supportive treatment—not as a stand-alone solution. Depending on your condition, it may be recommended before or after your chiropractic adjustment to help relax muscles, ease stiffness, and improve comfort as part of your personalized treatment plan. While research suggests far infrared therapy may promote local circulation and support the body’s normal recovery processes, individual responses vary.
Before recommending any treatment, we’ll explain why we believe it’s appropriate for your specific situation and answer any questions you have. Our goal is always to help you understand your options so you can make informed decisions about your care.
If you’re curious whether ceramic FIR therapy would be beneficial for you, we’d be happy to discuss it during your visit and determine whether it’s a good fit for your treatment plan.
Is chiropractic care expensive?
It’s a common question, and the answer often surprises people. Many patients find that chiropractic care is one of the most affordable investments they can make in their health. Rather than simply masking symptoms, our goal is to help your body move and function better so you can enjoy life with greater comfort and confidence.
At Quality Care Chiropractic, we believe that healthcare should provide lasting value. That’s why we take the time to listen to your concerns, perform a thorough evaluation, explain what we find, and recommend care that’s tailored specifically to your needs. Whether you’re dealing with back pain, neck pain, headaches, joint problems, or simply want to move and feel better, our focus is on helping you address the underlying cause of your condition whenever possible—not just the symptoms.
We also believe in being straightforward about costs. Before beginning treatment, we’ll discuss your examination findings, answer your questions, and explain any recommended care and associated fees, so you always know what to expect. There are no surprises—just honest recommendations designed around your health goals.
If you’ve been putting off getting help because you’re concerned about the cost, we encourage you to schedule an evaluation. You may find that chiropractic care is more affordable than you expected—and the improvements in your comfort, mobility, and quality of life can make it one of the best investments you ever make in your health.
Does Quality Care Chiropractic accept insurance?
Yes—but with some limitations.
Quality Care Chiropractic is primarily an affordable cash practice. We have chosen this model because it allows us to focus on providing individualized care based on your needs rather than the restrictions or limitations that can accompany many insurance plans. We believe health care decisions should be guided by clinical findings and informed conversations—not by what an insurance company chooses to cover.
That said, we do work with several types of insurance benefits:
Out-of-Network Benefits: If your health insurance includes out-of-network chiropractic benefits, we’re happy to provide a detailed receipt (often called a superbill) that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
Automobile Accidents: If you’ve been injured in an automobile accident, we can often work with your available Medical Payments Coverage (MedPay). We also accept personal injury liens in appropriate cases, allowing treatment to be coordinated with your attorney and settled as part of your personal injury claim rather than requiring payment at each visit. If you’ve recently been in an accident and aren’t sure what benefits are available, our office can help explain your options.
Medicare: We are non-participating Medicare providers. Payment is due at the time of your visit, and we submit your claim directly to Medicare on your behalf. Any eligible reimbursement is sent directly to you. If you have a Medicare Advantage plan, please contact our office before scheduling so we can discuss your specific coverage.
We understand that insurance can be confusing, and we’re happy to answer questions about how our office works before you schedule. Our goal is to help you understand your options so you can make the decision that’s right for you.
Whether you have insurance or not, our focus remains the same: to listen to your concerns, evaluate your condition, explain our findings in a way that makes sense, and care for you with recommendations based on what’s best for your health. If you’d like to learn more about your options or schedule an initial consultation, we’d be happy to help.
Once I begin chiropractic care, do I have to keep coming back forever?
No. In fact, one of the biggest misconceptions about chiropractic care is that once you start, you’ll be expected to continue forever. At Quality Care Chiropractic, that’s simply not how we practice.
Every patient is different, so every recommendation is individualized. After we listen to your concerns, perform a thorough evaluation, and explain our findings, we’ll recommend the course of care we believe gives you the best opportunity to reach your goals. From there, the decision is always yours.
Many patients initially benefit from more frequent visits while they’re recovering from an injury or addressing a painful condition. As they improve, those visits typically become less frequent. Some patients choose to discontinue care once they’ve reached their goals, while others enjoy returning periodically because they appreciate how they feel and want help maintaining their mobility, function, and active lifestyle.
Our goal has never been to make you dependent on chiropractic care. Our goal is to help you understand your condition, restore healthy movement and nervous system function as much as possible, and equip you with the tools to care for yourself between visits. Chiropractic care works best when it’s combined with healthy habits such as regular movement, proper nutrition, quality sleep, and stress management.
If you’ve been putting off chiropractic care because you’re worried about being “locked into” endless visits, we invite you to come experience a different approach. We’ll listen, perform a comprehensive evaluation, explain exactly what we find, answer your questions, and recommend only the care we believe is appropriate for your unique situation. Whether you choose to follow those recommendations is always your decision.
How long will it take to start seeing results?
The honest answer is: it depends on you and your condition. Every person heals at a different pace, and the time it takes to notice improvement can vary based on factors such as how long you’ve had the problem, its severity, your overall health, your daily activities, and how consistently you follow your care plan.
Many patients notice positive changes after their first few visits. For some, that may mean less pain or stiffness. Others may first notice they’re sleeping better, moving more comfortably, or able to do activities that had become difficult. For more complex or long-standing conditions, improvement often happens gradually as your body regains healthier movement and function.
At Quality Care Chiropractic, our goal isn’t simply to help you feel better temporarily—it’s to help you function better. During your examination, we’ll identify the factors contributing to your condition, explain what we find, and recommend a personalized treatment plan based on your individual needs and goals. We’ll also monitor your progress throughout your care and adjust your treatment as your body responds.
The sooner you address a problem, the sooner your body has the opportunity to recover. If you’re ready to take the first step toward moving and feeling better, we’d love to help you get started.
How can I tell if the chiropractic adjustments I am receiving are “balancing my nervous system?”
That’s an excellent question! While we can’t directly measure whether a nervous system is “balanced,” we can evaluate how well your body is functioning and monitor meaningful changes over time. At Quality Care Chiropractic, we look at more than just pain—we assess how you’re moving, functioning, and responding to care.
Many patients notice positive changes such as less pain, improved mobility, better posture, fewer headaches, easier movement, improved sleep, or a quicker recovery from everyday activities. Often, these functional improvements occur alongside a gradual reduction in symptoms.
We also perform periodic re-examinations throughout your care. Depending on your condition, these may include checking your range of motion, posture, orthopedic or neurological findings, and other functional measures we documented during your initial evaluation. Comparing these findings over time helps us objectively track your progress and determine whether your care plan is helping you move and function better.
Our goal is to restore healthy movement, improve function, and support your body’s ability to adapt to the physical stresses of everyday life. If you’re ready to take a proactive approach to your health, we’d love the opportunity to evaluate your condition and develop a personalized plan that’s right for you.
Does the chiropractic adjustment hurt?
Most chiropractic adjustments are not painful. In fact, many patients are surprised by how gentle and comfortable the experience is. Some even describe feeling immediate relief or a greater sense of ease afterward. Depending on your condition, you may experience some mild soreness later that day or the next—similar to what you might feel after starting a new exercise program—but this is typically temporary.
At Quality Care Chiropractic, there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Every patient receives a thorough evaluation, and your care is tailored to your individual needs, comfort level, and health goals. We use a variety of adjusting techniques, including traditional manual adjustments as well as gentle, low-force methods. If you’re nervous about being adjusted or have concerns about a particular technique, just let us know. We’ll explain everything beforehand and choose the approach that’s right for you.
Our goal is never to use more force than necessary—it’s to help restore healthy movement, improve function, and support your body’s natural ability to recover. We want you to feel informed, comfortable, and confident throughout your care.
If concerns about pain have kept you from trying chiropractic care, don’t let uncertainty keep you from feeling your best. Contact Quality Care Chiropractic today to schedule your comprehensive examination. We’ll take the time to listen to your concerns, perform a thorough evaluation, explain our findings, and determine whether chiropractic care is the right option for you.
Why does my nervous system matter when it comes to chiropractic care?
Your nervous system is the communication network between your brain and the rest of your body. It helps control movement, sensation, balance, coordination, and the function of every organ and tissue. When joints aren’t moving well or your body isn’t adapting to stress as efficiently as it should, that communication can be affected, contributing to pain, stiffness, reduced mobility, and other functional problems.
At Quality Care Chiropractic, we look beyond where it hurts. During your examination, we evaluate how your spine moves along with other aspects of your nervous system and movement, such as posture, balance, coordination, eye movements, and other functional findings when appropriate. This helps us better understand how your body is functioning so we can develop a care plan tailored to your specific needs. We don’t perform treatments simply because they’re part of a routine—we recommend the care that is most appropriate based on your examination findings and your goals.
Our goal is to help improve how your body moves and functions so you can recover from injury, move with greater confidence, and stay active doing the things you enjoy. If you’re looking for a thoughtful, personalized approach to chiropractic care, schedule an examination with us to learn how we may be able to help.
